Moscow Christ Savior Cathedral is one of the largest and most beautiful churches in Russia. The facade of the church is made of white marble. The golden dome glittered in the sun, giving the temple a festive appearance. According to the plan of Konstantin Dunton, a talented architect designed to commemorate the victory of the Russian Patriotic War, the church was built from 1837 to 1883. In the war of 1812, the height of the temple was 103.3 meters. There are 60 windows used to light the temple. Interior decoration decorated the works of artists such as Bashin, shemiratsky, Surikov and Makovsky, who have worked in them for 23 years.<br>In 1931, the temple was brutally destroyed: it was blown up. In 1960, at the site of a destroyed temple, Moscow built an open-air swimming pool. "<br>Temple reconstruction began in 1990. Architects and builders are guided by materials collected at the National Museum.<br>
