With immediate effect, you are allow to debit Customs fines by way of Electronic Manifest Corrector on prepaid basis, using charge code CFS (Customs Fines Surcharge) applicable at destination, for penalties received by the Local authorities.

Update has been posted in intranet and will be visible later today evening after publication, as follow:

1. The overall objective is to deal with these problem shipments as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
2. It is not acceptable for destination Agents to merely apply huge additional fees to the Load Port Agents (If in any doubt about the costs involved for dealing with the Customs Authorities then it is important for the Destination Agent to liaise directly and promptly with the Port of Load Agent in order to resolve the problem).
3. Every effort must be made by the Destination Port Agent to minimize these fines.
4. Customs Fines are to be debited by way of Electronic Manifest Correctors on Prepaid basis.
5. Customs fines must be passed on immediately to the offending Shipper or Agency Office.
6. The only invoice you are authorized to pass on to the responsible port load agents will be an official Customs fine if any (your duty is to obtain a discount as much you can) and any official invoice from the terminal for storage or for extra move on the terminal.
7. Invoice for whatever operation over and above the two mentioned will not be paid by the port agents
