Храм Христа Спасителя в Москве - один из самых больших и прекрасных храмов в России. Храм строился с 1837 по 1883 год по проекту талантливого архитектора Константина Тона в честь победы в России в Отечественной войне 1812 года.Высота храма была 103,3 м. Для освещения храма было сделано 60 окон. Интерьер украшали работы художников Басина, Семирадского, Сурикова,Маковсвкого и других, трудившизся над ними в течение 23 лет.В 1931 году храм был варварски разрушен: его взорвали. В 1960 году на месте разрушенного храма построили открытый бассейн "Москва".В 1990 году началось возрождение храма. Архитекторы и строители руководствовались теми материалами, которые удалось собрать в музеях страны.
