История – жизнь людей, она складывается на протяжении многих веков. Историю нужно обязательно знать, изучая историю, мы узнаем о том, откуда появились люди, какими были первые представители человеческого рода. Мы узнаем, как постепенно менялось поведение человека, традиции и обычаи. Она помогает увидеть современному поколению ошибки предков, чтобы потом их не совершать. Не зная истории, человек забывает свое прошлое, а прошлое настоящее и будущее взаимосвязаны. У человека, забывшего прошлое, нет будущего.

Из истории мы узнаем о великих личностях, таких как Ломоносов, Пушкин, Петр 1, Екатерина Великая, мы стремимся быть похожими на них, помним их огромный вклад в развитие нашего государства.

Открытия, совершенные в прошлом, мы используем в настоящем. Если бы люди не знали о том, что создавалось предыдущим поколением, то человечество бы не смогло сдвинуться с мертвой точки. Все бы повторялось несколько раз, не было бы общественного прогресса. Если бы когда-то не изобрели ЭВМ, то сейчас, у нас не было бы компьютеров и гаджетов, к которым мы так привыкли, не возникло бы информационных технологий, вакцин от многих смертельных болезней, лекарств и много другого.

Зная всю суровость войны, человек боится ее, и стремится не допустить. Если бы люди не сохранили историю, мы бы никогда не узнали об Отечественной войне 1812 года, Великой Отечественной войне, мировых войнах. Ведь сейчас нет таких масштабных войн, как раньше, потому что человечество с помощью истории сумело понять, что война – это страшно, это огромные потери, голод, исковерканные судьбы. Благодаря историческим событиям, люди научились договариваться без сражений, появилась дипломатия и международные отношения.
Я думаю, что история должна быть одним из главных предметов для изучения в школе, наряду с русским языком и математикой. Важно, чтобы современное поколение не забывало истории своей страны.

Надо знать главные исторические события, чтобы знать, как жили наши предки, чтобы не допустить прежних ошибок, не допустить глобальных катастроф.
