Education in Russian
children to school at the age of six years in Russia. The course of study at the school for eleven years now four years of elementary school and high school for seven years. Previously, it was only ten years: three years of primary school and secondary school for seven years. Children under six are taken nurseries and kindergartens.
There is a wide choice of schools nowadays: State schools, private schools, lyceums and gymnasiums. Most schools are free, but in some (usually private) parents have to pay for the
education
of their children. In ordinary schools, parents sometimes pay
for the
additional
subjects in the
curriculum, such as
foreign
language or
art.
Although
it is usually
not required, most
children
can already
read and write when they start their school: it makes education much easier for them .
in elementary school, there are three or four lessons per day, they are, as a rule, reading, writing and arithmetic. Lesson lasts forty minutes. During the first premature babies get used to learn and adapt to the rules of the school. Starting from the second semester of the first year at school,
the children also take crafts, painting,
music
and physical education. List of subjects studied

second, third and fourth year and includes the World History of Art, the foundations of security, history, geography and others. In primary schools, all lessons are usually conducted by one teacher.
