Курорт Боровое стал по существу базой Академии наук СССР, куда прибыли видные деятели науки и их семьи. В главном корпусе санатория и на дачах разместились ученые. Среди них также был выдающийся ученый с мировым именем, академик Владимир Иванович Вернадский.
В треугольной витрине находятся трофейные предметы Великой Отечественной войны, привезенные из Центрального Музея Вооруженных Сил СССР: каска германского солдата с башлыком из сукна; германская кожаная плетка; германские кресты, медали и другие.
