Через некоторое время дорога разделяется на две, а на месте разветвления (местные называют его "росстань") стоит поклонный крест и двухсотлетняя сосна в три обхвата. Это место считается священным. Крест, конечно, свежий, но раньше здесь стоял другой, более древний. Вообще, на Кенозере у околицы почти каждой деревни можно видеть поклонный крест или часовню. Там, выходя за пределы своей деревни, местные жители молились, благословляясь на дневные работы, ограждая себя от болезней, а так же встречи с дикими зверями и змеями.
